YA Scavenger Hunt

I’m Jessica Spotwood, author of THE CAHILL WITCH CHRONICLES. Book 1, BORN WICKED, is out now in hardcover and comes out in paperback on January 3! The sequel, STAR CURSED, comes out on June 18. My books are historical fantasies about witches and sisters and kissing. Now, for the reason you’re here…

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This triannual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt at each stop. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive a signed book from each author on my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!

You can find out all about the hunt on the YA Scavenger Hunt page. There are TWO contests going on simultaneously! I am a part of the blue team–but there is also a red team for a chance to win a whole different set of 25 amazing signed books!

To find out more about the hunt, the authors participating, and the full list of shiny shiny books available as prizes, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

Directions: Below, you’ll notice that I’ve listed my favorite number in red. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the blue team, and then add them up!

Entry Form: Once you’ve added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, December 2, at noon PST. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Today, I am hosting S.R. Johannes on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt!

S.R. Johannes is the author of award-winning and Amazon bestselling UNTRACEABLE (a teen wilderness thriller) and new tween paranormal, ON THE BRIGHT SIDE. She has also published short novelettes as well as a teen romance anthology with 16 other authors titled, IN HIS EYES. UNCONTROLLABLE, the sequel to UNTRACEABLE, is scheduled for September 2012.

S.R. Johannes is a winner of the 2012 IndieReader Discovery Awards (Young Adult category) and was also recently nominated for as Georgia Author of the Year (Young Adult category) and semifinalist in The Kindle Book Review’s Best Young Adult of 2012

After earning an MBA and working in corporate America doing marketing for over 15 years, S.R. Johannes traded in her expensive suits, high heels, and corporate lingo for a family, flip-flops, and her love of writing. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her dog, English-accented husband, and the huge imaginations of their little prince and princess, which she hopes- someday- will change the world.

Want to know more about the new book, UNCONTROLLABLE?

As 16 year old Grace recovers from tragedy, her science class is chosen by Agent Sweeney at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to help with research on the new “Red Wolf Reintroduction Program”.

While she’s excited about helping with the conservation of the endangered wolves, Grace knows this means being outdoors in the worst winter on record, in a place she no longer feels comfortable. It also means working closely with Wyn (her ex) and his annoying girlfriend (Skyler), a girl whose idea of getting close to nature is killing two silk plants and watering a cactus.

After a couple of wolves show up dead, Grace almost quits. However, when a fellow project team member goes missing, Grace continues the assignment under a renewed suspicion that someone might be sabotaging the conservation program. She quietly begins to hunt for clues.

You can buy UNCONTROLLABLE here and find out more about Shelli at her website.

The exclusive content has expired! Thanks to everyone who played along with the Hunt and especially to everyone who entered my contest. I have announced the winners on the Rafflecopter below. Stay tuned for more giveaways!
